  • sugar - 1 c
  • vanilla
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour
  • soda - 1/4 tsp
  • cocoa - 1/2 c
  • baking powder - 1/4 tsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • softened butter or margarine - 1/2 c

How to make chocolate cookies:

In large bowl cream butter, sugar, egg and vanilla until light and fluffy. Add remaining ingredients; blend on low speed until a stiff dough forms (about 1 minute). Shape into balls or bars covered with crushed Heath bars and bake 5 to 15 minutes or until done at 350°. Nuts and crushed candy bars may be stirred into dough before baking.
