Ingredients/Components

  • oil - 2/3 c
  • sugar - 2 c
  • eggs - 2 item
  • chocolate premelted, unsweetened - 3 sq
  • flour
  • baking powder - 2 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • soda - 2 tsp
  • hot water - 2 c
  • vanilla - 2 tsp

How to make chocolate cake:

Mix first four ingredients. Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with hot water. Add vanilla. Batter will be thin. Makes 2 (9-inch) layers or 3 dozen cupcakes, or large 9 x 13-inch cake. Bake at 350° until done.
