Ingredients/Components
- Sugar - 2 c
- Cocoa - 4 tbsp
- Milk - 6 tbsp
- Vanilla - 1 tsp
- Cinnamon - 1 tsp
- Eggs - 2 item
- stick Oleo - 1 item
- Water - 1 c
- Pecans, chopped - 1 c
- Soda - 1 tsp
- box Powdered Sugar - 1 item
- Plain Flour - 2 c
- Buttermilk - 1/2 c
- Crisco Oil - 1/2 c
How to make chocolate cake:
Icing:4 tbsp. Cocoa6 tbsp. Milk1 stick Oleo1 box Powdered Sugar1 c. Pecans, chopped Sift together flour, sugar, soda and cinnamon and set aside. Bring to a boil over medium heat water, oil, oleo and cocoa and pour over the flour and sugar mixture. Mix well. Beat together eggs, buttermilk and vanilla. Stir into above mixture and mix well. Pour into oblong pan and bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.For icing bring cocoa, milk and oleo to a boil over medium heat. Remove from heat and sift in 1 box of powdered sugar. Beat well, then add pecans. Spread on cake while the cake is still hot.
