Ingredients/Components
- brown sugar
- shortening - 1/2 c
- egg - 1 item
- soda - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- buttermilk - 1 c
- rhubarb, cut fine - 2 c
How to make rhubarb cake:
Cream brown sugar and shortening. Add egg. Add dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk. Stir in rhubarb. Top with 1/2 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon, mixed together. Bake at 350° for 40 minutes.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, < 60 mins.
