  • sugar - 2/3 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • cornstarch - 3 Tbsp
  • water - 3/4 c
  • lemon juice - 1/3 c
  • ground ginger - 1/2 tsp
  • pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • soy sauce - 1/4 c
  • chicken wings - 3 lb

How to make chinese chicken wings:

Bake chicken at 400° for 30 minutes. Mix all other ingredients (dry first, then add liquid). Cook, stirring constantly over medium/high heat until thick. Allow to boil gently for 3 minutes. Brush over chicken. Continue baking 40 minutes, basting with sauce every 10 minutes. Broil the last couple of minutes. Watch carefully so as not to let burn.
