Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1 tsp
  • cloves garlic, minced - 3 item
  • chili powder - 6 Tbsp
  • parsley flakes - 2 Tbsp
  • can tomato sauce - 8 oz
  • ground beef - 2 lb
  • chopped green onions - 1/4 c
  • salt to taste - 1 item
  • medium onion, chopped - 1 item
  • chopped bell pepper - 1/2 c
  • ribs celery, chopped - 2 item
  • cayenne to taste - 1 item
  • ground pork - 1 lb

How to make chili:

Brown meat in cast-iron pot; drain well and return to stove. Add tomato sauce and 1 1/2 cups water; simmer. Add chili powder and all herbs. Mix well and allow to cook for about 10 minutes. Add salt and cayenne pepper to taste; allow to simmer until thick. Add sugar and cook for few minutes longer. Serves 10 to 12 people.
