Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 1/4 c
- stick margarine - 1/4 item
- evaporated milk - 2/3 c
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- cooked chicken, diced - 3 4
- chicken stock - 2 c
- can carrots, drained - 1 item
- pie shells - 2 item
- can garden peas, drained - 1 item
How to make chicken pot pie:
Preheat oven to 450°. Heat butter, flour, salt and pepper. Remove from heat. Stir in chicken and vegetables. Cook on low heat until mixture thickens. Spread 1 pie crust over bottom of a 3-quart baking dish. Add chicken mixture. Cover with remaining pie crust. Bake 15 to 20 minutes.Recipe categories: Casseroles, One Dish meal, Savory pies.
