Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1/2 tsp
  • cornstarch - 4 Tbsp
  • water - 1/2 c
  • pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • soy sauce - 1/2 Tbsp
  • salt optional - 1/2 tsp
  • grated cheese - 4 6
  • cans cream of chicken soup - 2 item
  • green peppers, sliced - 2 item
  • chopped garlic - 1 tsp
  • diagonally sliced celery
  • can mixed vegetables, drained - 1 item
  • box chopped broccoli - 1 oz
  • Pet-Ritz pie crusts - 2 item
  • sliced or quartered onion - 1 c
  • beef broth fat removed - 2 c
  • chicken breasts or 1 whole fryer chicken - 6 item
  • boneless round steak, cut into thin strips - 1 lb

How to make chicken pot pie:

Spray a large skillet with a nonstick coating. Stir-fry beef strips until browned. Add all but the last 3 ingredients and simmer, covered, for 5 to 10 minutes. Meanwhile, mix cornstarch with soy sauce and water. Stir into hot mixture and continue cooking until thickened. Serve over noodles or quick cooking brown rice.
