Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 c
- butter - 1/4 c
- self-rising flour - 1/2 c
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- onions, chopped - 1 c
- celery, chopped - 1 c
- carrots, cut up - 1 c
- pie crust - 1 item
- chicken broth add can of cream of chicken - 2 c
- chicken, cut up in bite size pieces - 4 c
How to make chicken pot pie:
Saute vegetables in skillet with butter for 10 minutes. Add flour to vegetables, stirring for 1 minute. Mix chicken broth and milk together; add to skillet mixture. Cook until thick. Add salt and pepper. Add chicken. Put pie crust on top and bake at 400° until brown.Recipe categories: Casseroles, One Dish meal, Savory pies.
