Chicken parmesan
Ingredients/Components
- butter - 3 Tbsp
- water - 1/2 c
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- can tomato sauce - 1 oz
- bread crumbs - 1/2 c
- Mozzarella cheese, shredded - 1 c
- oregano - 1/4 tsp
- Parmesan cheese, grated - 1/4 c
- green pepper, sliced - 1 item
- chicken breasts, halved, skinned and boned - 4 item
How to make chicken parmesan:
Combine bread crumbs and Parmesan cheese. Dip chicken in egg, then in crumb mixture. Melt butter in skillet. Add chicken to skillet; cook 3 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Arrange green pepper over chicken. Combine tomato sauce, water and oregano; pour over chicken. Reduce heat to 200° in skillet. Cover and cook 25 to 30 minutes or until tender. Sprinkle with Mozzarella cheese. Cover and cook until cheese melts. Makes 4 servings.Recipe categories: Chicken, Main dish, Poultry.
