Chicken parmesan
Ingredients/Components
- cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
- grated Parmesan cheese - 1/4 c
- oregano - 1/2 tsp
- chicken breast halves, skinned and boned - 4 item
- each cans Italian-style stewed tomatoes - 2 1/2
How to make chicken parmesan:
Preheat oven to 425°. Place chicken breasts into an 8 x 8-inch baking dish. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes. In a saucepan combine tomatoes, cornstarch and oregano. Cook on medium heat, stirring constantly until sauce thickens. Pour sauce over chicken and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Bake for 5 more minutes. Yields 4 servings.Optional: Can add a touch of hot sauce, basil or a sprinkle of garlic. Can top with Mozzarella cheese slices during the last 5 minutes to make even more authentic.
