Chicken parmesan
Ingredients/Components
- egg, slightly beaten - 1 item
- can tomato sauce - 1 oz
- clove garlic - 1 item
- Italian seasoning - 2 Tbsp
- shredded Mozzarella cheese - 1/2 lb
- small onion, chopped - 1 item
- olive oil - 3 Tbsp
- fresh grated Parmesan cheese - 1 item
- Italian bread crumbs - 3/4 c
- chicken breasts, boned, skinned and halved - 6 item
How to make chicken parmesan:
Dip chicken into beaten egg and water, then dredge through bread crumbs. Let sit to set the coating.In saucepan, heat oil, garlic, onion, tomato sauce and seasonings. In another pan, heat small amount of oil and brown chicken. Arrange chicken in a single layer in a greased, shallow pan. Distribute Mozzarella cheese over chicken. Top with tomato sauce and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Serve with pasta. Makes 6 servings.
