Chicken rice dinner
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 1/2 c
- boiling water - 2 c
- cooking oil - 3 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- chopped onion - 1/4 c
- chicken bouillon cubes - 2 item
- garlic cloves, minced - 2 item
- uncooked long grain rice - 1 c
- minced fresh parsley optional - 1 item
- can mushroom stems and pieces, undrained - 1 oz
How to make chicken rice dinner:
Combine flour, salt and pepper. Coat chicken pieces. In a large skillet, over medium heat, brown the chicken in oil.Place rice in an ungreased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan. Sprinkle with onion and garlic. Top with mushrooms. Dissolve bouillon in boiling water; pour over all. Place chicken pieces on top.
Cover and bake at 350° for 1 hour or until chicken juices run clear and rice is tender. Sprinkle with parsley, if desired. Yields 5 servings.
