Ingredients/Components

  • pinch of salt - 1 item
  • oregano - 1/4 tsp
  • onion, sliced - 1/2 item
  • sherry - 2 Tbsp
  • cumin - 1/4 tsp
  • green pepper, sliced - 1 item
  • flour tortillas - 8 item
  • boneless chicken - 1 lb
  • cloves garlic, sliced - 2 item
  • salsa or chopped tomatoes for garnish, optional - 1 item

How to make chicken fajitas:

Cut up chicken into thin slices. Saute chicken in oil with garlic until no longer pink. Add onion and pepper and continue to stir-fry. Add cumin, oregano and salt. Just before removing from heat, add sherry. Warm tortillas one at a time in ungreased frying pan. Assemble fajitas at the table by placing a large spoonful of the chicken mixture plus any desired garnish in the center of a tortilla; fold up bottom and sides to make fajita.
