Chicken fajitas
Ingredients/Components
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- oregano - 1/4 tsp
- onion, sliced - 1/2 item
- sherry - 2 Tbsp
- cumin - 1/4 tsp
- green pepper, sliced - 1 item
- flour tortillas - 8 item
- boneless chicken - 1 lb
- cloves garlic, sliced - 2 item
- salsa or chopped tomatoes for garnish, optional - 1 item
How to make chicken fajitas:
Cut up chicken into thin slices. Saute chicken in oil with garlic until no longer pink. Add onion and pepper and continue to stir-fry. Add cumin, oregano and salt. Just before removing from heat, add sherry. Warm tortillas one at a time in ungreased frying pan. Assemble fajitas at the table by placing a large spoonful of the chicken mixture plus any desired garnish in the center of a tortilla; fold up bottom and sides to make fajita.Recipe categories: Chicken, Main dish, Chicken breast.
