Ingredients/Components
- water - 1/2 c
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- diced celery - 1/2 c
- melted butter or margarine - 1/2 c
- can condensed cream of chicken soup - 1 1/2
- herb seasoned croutons
- cut up cooked chicken - 3 c
How to make chicken casserole:
Heat oven to 350°. Place meat in ungreased 9 x 9 x 2-inch square or 2-quart casserole dish. For stuffing, combine croutons, celery and onion in bowl. Add butter and 1/2 cup water; toss until croutons are moistened. Reserve about 1 1/2 cups stuffing; spread remainder over meat. Blend soup and 1/4 cup water. Pour over stuffing. Top with reserved stuffing. Bake, uncovered, 30 minutes or until heated through.Recipe categories: Main dish, Casseroles, Chicken breast.
