Chicken casserole
Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 1 oz
- butter or margarine, melted - 1/2 c
- can cream of mushroom soup, undiluted - 1 item
- can cream of chicken soup, undiluted - 1 item
- broiler fryer, cut up - 4 large
How to make chicken casserole:
Cook chicken until tender. Remove chicken from broth. Bone chicken and cut into small pieces; set aside. Reserve broth. Combine stuffing mix and butter. Reserve 1/4 cup for garnish. Combine chicken soup with 1/2 the broth. Mix mushroom soup with other half of broth. Spoon 1/2 of stuffing mix in 13 x 9-inch baking dish that has been greased. Top with 1/2 the chicken. Cover with 1/2 the chicken and chicken soup mix. Layer rest of dressing mix, chicken and mushroom soup. Sprinkle top with reserved 1/4 dressing.
