Chicken cacciatore
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 tsp
- water
- vegetable oil - 1/2 c
- chopped celery - 1/2 c
- can tomato paste - 1/2 oz
- salt and pepper - 1 item
- chopped green onion - 1/2 c
- dry sherry - 1/2 c
- spaghetti - 3/4 lb
- cloves garlic, chopped - 2 item
- fryer, cut up - 1 (2
- can button mushrooms - 1 oz
- canned tomatoes, strained
How to make chicken cacciatore:
Brown chicken in oil over medium heat; remove chicken. Add onion and celery; fry slowly 15 minutes. Stir in mushrooms, tomatoes, tomato paste, sherry, sugar and seasonings. Add water and chicken; cook over low heat until chicken is tender. Cook spaghetti; then remove chicken from sauce and place in serving dish.
