Chicken and rice
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 1/3 c
- butter - 1/4 c
- water
- paprika - 1/2 tsp
- parsley - 1 Tbsp
- grated onion - 3 Tbsp
- Minute rice
- can condensed cream of chicken soup - 1 item
- thyme - 1/8 tsp
- celery flakes - 1 tsp
- frying chicken parts - 3 lb
How to make chicken and rice:
Roll chicken in flour, saute until golden brown. Mix soup, onions and seasonings in a saucepan. Gradually stir in the water, bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Pour rice from the box into a shallow 2-quart casserole. Stir all but 1/3 cup soup mixture into rice. Top with chicken, pour on the remainder of the soup mixture, cover. Bake 30 minutes at 375° or until the chicken is done. Sprinkle with paprika. Serves 4.Recipe categories: Main dish, Casseroles, Chicken breast.
