Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 1/3 c
  • butter - 1/4 c
  • water
  • paprika - 1/2 tsp
  • parsley - 1 Tbsp
  • grated onion - 3 Tbsp
  • Minute rice
  • can condensed cream of chicken soup - 1 item
  • thyme - 1/8 tsp
  • celery flakes - 1 tsp
  • frying chicken parts - 3 lb

How to make chicken and rice:

Roll chicken in flour, saute until golden brown. Mix soup, onions and seasonings in a saucepan. Gradually stir in the water, bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Pour rice from the box into a shallow 2-quart casserole. Stir all but 1/3 cup soup mixture into rice. Top with chicken, pour on the remainder of the soup mixture, cover. Bake 30 minutes at 375° or until the chicken is done. Sprinkle with paprika. Serves 4.
