Cherry soup
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- water - 1 qt
- dairy sour cream - 3/4 c
- cloves - 1/4 tsp
- pitted, fresh, red, tart cherries or 3 16 oz - 3 pt
- cooked noodles or croutons - 1 item
How to make cherry soup:
Combine cherries, cinnamon and cloves with the water in a large saucepan. Bring to boiling. Reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes. If desired, puree fruits by pressing through sieve or use an electric blender. Add sugar and stir until it dissolves. Cool thoroughly. Beat in sour cream. Serve with noodles or croutons.
