Ingredients/Components
- milk - 4 c
- flour - 1/2 c
- butter - 1/4 c
- cornstarch
- baking soda - 1/8 tsp
- Velveeta cheese
- paprika - 1 tsp
- salt and pepper - 1 tsp
- finely chopped onion - 1/2 c
- sliced carrots - 2 c
- sliced celery - 1 c
- dash of cayenne - 1 item
- chicken stock - 4 c
- diced parsley - 1 Tbsp
How to make cheese soup:
Melt butter and saute vegetables. Stir in flour and cornstarch. Add stock and milk, gradually blending into a smooth sauce. Add soda and cheese and stir until thickened. Add salt, pepper and parsley. Do not boil. Garnish with paprika.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Cheese, Soups & stews.
