Ingredients/Components

  • chopped pecans - 1 c
  • chili powder - 1 item
  • dash salt - 1 item
  • mild cheddar cheese - 1/2 lb
  • sharp cheddar cheese - 1/2 lb
  • medium cheddar cheese - 1 lb
  • 8-oz pkgs cream cheese - 2 item
  • dried onion flakes or less if using minced onion - 2/3 c
  • minced garlic to taste be careful - 1 item

How to make cheese roll:

Grate all cheese and chop up cream cheese (I use a big roast pan). Add remainder of ingredients. Let cheese warm to room temperature. Mix well. Roll into logs and then roll in chili powder. Makes about 8 6-inch logs. Wrap each in Saran Wrap, then in foil and refrigerate. Slice and serve with crackers.
