Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 3 c
- butter - 1/2 lb
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- red pepper - 1/2 tsp
- grated New York State cheese - 4 c
How to make cheese biscuits:
Cream the butter. Add grated cheese, salt and red pepper. Sift together flour and baking powder. Add to creamed mixture. Mix well. Mixture will be stiff and short. Roll out and cut with biscuit cutter. Bake in moderate oven at 350° for about 10 to 12 minutes.Recipe categories: Breads, Rolls/biscuits, High calcium.
