  • sugar - 2 c
  • eggs - 4 item
  • vanilla extract - 1 Tbsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • baking soda - 2 tsp
  • vegetable oil
  • all-purpose flour - 2 c
  • ground cinnamon - 1 Tbsp
  • grated, raw carrots - 3 c

How to make carrot cake:

Preheat oven to 350°. Mix and blend everything except carrots. When well mixed, add carrots. Pour into oblong pan and bake for 35 to 45 minutes. When cool, frost with cream cheese frosting.

Applesauce is a good substitute for 1 1/2 cups of vegetable oil.
