Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 4 item
- vanilla extract - 1 Tbsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- baking soda - 2 tsp
- vegetable oil
- all-purpose flour - 2 c
- ground cinnamon - 1 Tbsp
- grated, raw carrots - 3 c
How to make carrot cake:
Preheat oven to 350°. Mix and blend everything except carrots. When well mixed, add carrots. Pour into oblong pan and bake for 35 to 45 minutes. When cool, frost with cream cheese frosting.Applesauce is a good substitute for 1 1/2 cups of vegetable oil.
