Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- cream cheese - 4 oz
- eggs - 4 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- flour - 2 c
- butter
- oil - 1 c
- grated carrots - 3 c
- baking soda - 2 tsp
- or 8 oz - 1/2 lb
How to make carrot cake:
Icing:1/4 c. butter4 oz. cream cheese1 tsp. vanilla1/2 lb. or 8 oz. confectioners sugar Mix sugar, oil and eggs. Sift dry ingredients and add to egg mixture. Add vanilla, carrots and nuts. Mix well. Grease and flour tube pan. Bake at 350° in a preheated oven for 1 hour.Icing: Cream the cream cheese and butter well. Mix in sugar, then vanilla. Whip well. Chop 1/2 cup of nuts. Sprinkle on top.
