Caramel popcorn
Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- brown sugar - 1 c
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- margarine - 1/2 c
- dark corn syrup - 1/2 c
- popped popcorn
How to make caramel popcorn:
Place popcorn in large shallow roasting pan. In heavy 1 1/2-quart saucepan, stir sugar, margarine and corn syrup. Stir constantly while bringing to a boil, without stirring, boil 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla and baking soda. Pour over popcorn. Stir to coat well. Bake in 250° oven, stirring every 15 minutes for 1 hour. Remove from oven, spread onto foil.
