  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • brown sugar - 2 c
  • margarine - 1 c
  • popped corn - 8 qt
  • white syrup - 1/2 c

How to make caramel corn:

Pop the corn and set aside. Mix all the remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil. Boil for 5 minutes. Add 1/2 teaspoon baking soda, mixing well. Pour over popped corn, coating well. Put in shallow pan. Bake at 250° for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
