Caramel corn
Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- firmly packed brown sugar - 2 c
- popped corn - 6 qt
- 3/4 stick oleo - 1 item
- corn syrup either color - 1/2 c
How to make caramel corn:
Melt oleo. Stir in brown sugar, corn syrup and salt. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil, without stirring, 5 minutes. Remove from heat, stir in soda and vanilla. Gradually pour over popped corn, mixing well. Turn into 2 large shallow baking pans. Bake in 250° oven for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Remove from oven. Cool completely.
