Ingredients/Components

  • packed brown sugar - 2 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • light corn syrup - 1/2 c
  • popped corn - 6 qt
  • cream of tartar - 1/4 tsp
  • sticks oleo - 2 item

How to make caramel corn:

In a 2 1/2-quart saucepan, heat brown sugar, corn syrup, oleo, cream of tartar and salt to boiling to 260°. Cook 5 minutes or more. Remove from heat. Stir in baking soda thoroughly and pour over popped corn. Stir gently. Bake in a preheated oven
