Cantaloupe ice
Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- water
- lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
- large ripe cantaloupe - 1 item
How to make cantaloupe ice:
Place sugar and water in a saucepan and stir them over high heat until the mixture begins to bubble and sugar is dissolved. Simmer 5 minutes. Place in a jar and refrigerate until cool. Peel and seed the cantaloupe; cut into cubes. Puree in a blender or food processor (this should make 3 1/2 cups puree). Add lemon juice and syrup. Freeze in a machine according to directions, or freeze in trays 30 minutes before serving, blend or process again. Put back in the freezer to firm.
