  • sugar
  • cinnamon
  • eggs - 6 item
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • butter - 1 c
  • nutmeg - 1 tsp
  • baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  • pecans - 4 c
  • rum flavoring - 1 oz
  • box raisins - 1 item
  • sifted plain flour - 4 c
  • cherries candied, all colors - 1 lb
  • pineapple candied, all colors - 1 lb

How to make fruit cake:

Mix flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg together and coat fruit and nuts in flour. Mix sugar and butter and beat until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well each time. Add rum flavoring. Pour this over fruit and nuts. Mix well. Put in 10-inch pan and bake 2 3/4 to 3 hours at 275°.
