- sugar
- cinnamon
- eggs - 6 item
- salt - 1 tsp
- butter - 1 c
- nutmeg - 1 tsp
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- pecans - 4 c
- rum flavoring - 1 oz
- box raisins - 1 item
- sifted plain flour - 4 c
- cherries candied, all colors - 1 lb
- pineapple candied, all colors - 1 lb
How to make fruit cake:
Mix flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg together and coat fruit and nuts in flour. Mix sugar and butter and beat until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well each time. Add rum flavoring. Pour this over fruit and nuts. Mix well. Put in 10-inch pan and bake 2 3/4 to 3 hours at 275°.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Fruit.
