Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- milk - 3/4 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- boiling water - 1 c
- egg - 1 item
- soft shortening - 1/4 c
- cherry juice - 3/4 c
- cherries, well drained - 2 c
- Add shortening, egg and milk
How to make cherry pudding:
Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Add shortening, egg and milk. Blend in well drained cherries. Bake at 350° for 50 to 60 minutes. Use a 9 x 9-inch greased pan.Red Sauce:1/2 c. sugar2 Tbsp. cornstarch1 c. boiling water3/4 c. cherry juice Mix sugar and cornstarch; stir into boiling water. Add cherry juice. Cook until thickened.
