Cabbage slaw
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- vinegar - 1 c
- celery seed - 2 Tbsp
- medium onions, chopped fine - 2 item
- Wesson oil - 1 c
- cabbage head, grated - 1 item
How to make cabbage slaw:
Pour 2 cups sugar over grated cabbage and onion. Mix good and set aside. Mix salt, vinegar, celery seed and sugar with oil. Bring to a boil. Pour boiling mix over cabbage mixture. Refrigerate 12 hours. Keeps two weeks.Recipe categories: Condiments, etc., Side dish, Garnishes.
