Buttered noodles
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 3 item
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- butter - 3 Tbsp
- unbleached flour
- plus 2 Tbsp - 1 c
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
How to make buttered noodles:
Place the water, eggs, flour and salt in the bowl of an electric mixer. Beat at medium speed for 3 minutes or until batter is smooth and some bubbles start to appear. Let the batter rest at room temperature for 30 minutes.Using a large saucepan, bring 3 quarts of water to a boil. Pour half the batter through a colander into the boiling water. The dough will sink to the bottom. When they rise to the top, scoop out with a slotted spoon and transfer to a serving bowl. Repeat with remaining batter. Add salt, butter and pepper. Serve. Serves 6.
