Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- packed brown sugar - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour
- soda - 1/4 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- powdered sugar - 3/4 c
- butter not margarine or shortening - 1 c
How to make butter pecan cookies:
Cream butter, brown sugar and egg. Add vanilla, then flour, powdered sugar, soda and salt. Blend in pecans. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto baking sheet. Bake at 375° for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Frost with a dab of canned sour cream white frosting and top with pecan half.
