Ingredients/Components

  • milk - 6 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • water - 6 c
  • Velveeta cheese - 2 lb
  • salad oil - 2 Tbsp
  • garlic powder - 1/8 tsp
  • chopped onions - 3/4 c
  • chicken bouillon cubes - 8 item
  • frozen chopped broccoli - 2 pkg
  • fine egg noodles - 8 oz

How to make broccoli cheese soup:

Heat oil. Add onions; saute for 3 minutes. Add water and bouillon cubes. Heat to boiling. Add noodles and salt. Cook 3 minutes. Stir in broccoli and garlic; cook 4 minutes. Add milk, cheese and pepper, cooking over low heat until cheese melts. Do not boil after adding milk, or it will clabber.

Hint: You can put potatoes in this recipe, also.
