Breakfast casserole
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 2 c
- eggs, beaten - 6 item
- dry mustard - 1 tsp
- salt to taste - 1 item
- sharp grated cheese - 1 c
- sliced bread, broken into small pieces - 2 c
- mild sausage, browned, crumbled and drained - 1 lb
How to make breakfast casserole:
Layer bread pieces in bottom of greased 13 x 8 x 2-inch casserole. Spread browned sausage over bread. Sprinkle with grated cheese. Mix together beaten eggs, milk, salt and mustard. Pour over casserole. Refrigerate overnight. The next day, bake at 350° for 45 minutes. Makes about 8 servings.Recipe categories: Breakfast, Casseroles, One Dish meal.
