Ingredients/Components
- milk - 3/4 c
- eggs, beaten - 3 item
- pepper to taste - 1 item
- salt to taste - 1 item
- stick oleo - 1/2 item
- onions - 3 c
- sharp grated cheese - 3/4 c
- crushed saltines - 1 c
How to make onion pie:
Melt 1/2 stick oleo in pie plate. Press one cup crushed saltines in bottom. Cook cut up onions in skillet with 1 stick oleo. Cook and stir until tender. Mix beaten eggs and milk, salt and pepper to taste in sauce; warm and stir. Pour in pie pan. Top with 3/4 cup sharp grated cheese and cook until brown, about 30 minutes at 350°.Recipe categories: Main dish, Savory pies, Onions.
