Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 4 item
- milk - 2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- dry mustard - 1 tsp
- grated Cheddar cheese - 1/2 lb
- slices white bread - 8 item
- sausage - 1 lb
- dash of pepper to taste - 1 item
How to make breakfast casserole:
Preheat oven to 350°. Brown, crumble and drain sausage well. Grease and 8 x 12-inch baking dish. Place bread in dish bottom as a liner. Sprinkle the cheese over bread, add sausage. Mix together eggs, milk, salt, pepper and mustard. Pour mixture over sausage and cheese. Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes until eggs are set.Refrigerate mixture overnight before baking to enhance the flavor.
