Ingredients/Components
- salt and pepper - 1 item
- olive oil - 2 Tbsp
- green onions, finely chopped - 4 item
- finely chopped parsley - 1/2 c
- green beans, tips cut off and sliced in half lengthwise
- Italian canned tomatoes - 1 c
How to make braised green beans:
Pour the oil into the bottom of a heavy saucepan and add the beans, onions, parsley, tomatoes, salt and pepper. Cover and simmer slowly for 20 to 30 minutes or until beans are tender. Serves 6.Recipe categories: Side dish, Beans, Comfort food.
