Beef stroganoff sandwiches
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- butter or margarine, softened - 1 item
- 12 oz - 3 c
- garlic powder - 1/2 tsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- ground beef - 2 lbs
- tomatoes, seeded and diced - 2 item
- 16 oz - 2 c
- large green pepper, diced - 1 item
- loaf French Bread - 1 item
How to make beef stroganoff sandwiches:
In a skillet, brown ground beef and onion. Drain.Add salt, garlic powder and pepper.
Cut bread lengthwise in half; butter both halves and place on baking sheets.
Remove meat mixture from heat. Stir in sour cream.
Spoon meat mixture onto bread. Sprinkle top with tomatoes, green pepper, and cheese.
Bake at 350° for 20 minutes or until cheese is melted. Bake a little longer for crispier bread.
Yield: 8-10 servings.
