Ingredients/Components

  • pot roast - 1 (4
  • butter - 3 Tbsp
  • whole cloves - 2 item
  • bouquet garni - 1 item
  • chopped parsley - 2 Tbsp
  • red Burgundy - 1 c
  • beef broth - 2 c
  • mushrooms - 1/2 lb
  • small white onions - 12 item
  • sugar - 1/2 tsp
  • salt and pepper - 1 item

How to make beef burgundy:

Sear roast quickly in butter. Simmer with cloves, bouquet garni, garlic and parsley. Cook roast slowly in wine and stock for 4 to 5 hours. Saute mushrooms separately. Saute onions in additional butter, sugar, salt and pepper. Slice roast; garnish with mushrooms and onions. Strain sauce and serve with roast.
