Ingredients/Components
- pot roast - 1 (4
- butter - 3 Tbsp
- whole cloves - 2 item
- bouquet garni - 1 item
- chopped parsley - 2 Tbsp
- red Burgundy - 1 c
- beef broth - 2 c
- mushrooms - 1/2 lb
- small white onions - 12 item
- sugar - 1/2 tsp
- salt and pepper - 1 item
How to make beef burgundy:
Sear roast quickly in butter. Simmer with cloves, bouquet garni, garlic and parsley. Cook roast slowly in wine and stock for 4 to 5 hours. Saute mushrooms separately. Saute onions in additional butter, sugar, salt and pepper. Slice roast; garnish with mushrooms and onions. Strain sauce and serve with roast.Recipe categories: Main dish, Meat, Beef.
