  • pkg - 1 oz
  • milk - 2 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 1/4 c
  • margarine - 1/4 c
  • pepper - 1/8 tsp
  • grated Cheddar cheese - 2 c

How to make baked macaroni and cheese:

Preheat oven to 375°. Cook macaroni according to package directions; drain.

In 1 1/2-quart casserole dish, alternate macaroni (in 2 layers) with 1 1/2 cups cheese (in 2 layers); set aside.

Prepare sauce: Melt butter in saucepan. Remove from heat. Blend in flour, milk and seasonings. Bring to a boil, stirring; boil 1 minute.

Pour sauce over macaroni and cheese. Top with remaining cheese. Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until cheese is melted and browned.
