Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 1 oz
- milk
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- margarine - 2 Tbsp
- can chow mein noodles - 1 oz
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- soy sauce - 1 tsp
- can sliced mushrooms - 1 oz
- sliced celery - 1 c
- cooked rice - 2 c
- diced cooked chicken - 3 c
- small can water chestnuts, sliced - 1 item
How to make oriental chicken casserole:
Make cream sauce with margarine, flour and milk. Add cheese, soy sauce, salt and pepper; stir until cheese melts. Combine rice, chicken, water chestnuts, mushrooms and celery. Place alternate layers of chicken-rice mixture and sauce mixture in 1 1/2-quart casserole. Arrange noodles around edge of casserole and bake in 350° oven for 25 to 30 minutes.Recipe categories: Main dish, Poultry, Rice.
