Baked french toast
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- eggs - 3 item
- milk - 1 c
- vanilla extract - 1/2 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- all-purpose flour - 1 Tbsp
- butter or margarine, melted - 3 Tbsp
- allspice - 1/4 tsp
- 1-inch slices French bread - 8 item
How to make baked french toast:
Beat eggs. Add flour, sugar, cinnamon, allspice, salt, baking powder and vanilla. Mix until smooth. Beat in milk. Pour into baking dish that has been sprayed with Pam. Dip bread into mixture, turn over, cover and refrigerate overnight. Before baking, turn slices over. Melt butter and drizzle over top. Bake at 400° for 10 minutes. Turn bread and bake an additional 5 minutes until golden brown. Serve with syrup, cinnamon sugar, confectioners sugar or any other topping of your choice.Recipe categories: Breakfast, European, French.
