Ingredients/Components
- butter or oleo - 3 Tbsp
- flour - 3 Tbsp
- milk - 3 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- cheese - 1/2 c
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- medium potatoes, peeled and sliced thin - 6 item
- chopped onion - 2 Tbsp
- diced ham - 1 c
How to make au gratin potatoes:
Make white sauce of first 6 ingredients. Put in greased 2-quart casserole. Use half of the potatoes, onion and sauce, then repeat the layer. Cover and bake at 350° about 1 hour. Uncover and continue baking until brown.Recipe may be doubled using about 11 potatoes. Use 9 x 13-inch pan.
