Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- margarine or butter - 3/4 c
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- plus 1 Tbsp - 2 c
- apricot preserves or 1 Baker apricot - 12 oz
How to make apricot squares:
Cream butter, sugar, egg and vanilla. Add flour, salt and baking powder; stir in nuts. Put 1/2 dough into 9 x 13-inch greased pan. Pat down and spread apricots on top. Add remaining dough by spoonful and spread with fork. Bake at 350° for 35 minutes.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cookie and brownie, Bar cookie.
