Applesauce loaf

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 1 c
• cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
• eggs - 2 item
• salt - 1 tsp
• flour
• water - 1 Tbsp
• nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
• baking powder - 1 tsp
• baking soda - 1/2 tsp
• shortening - 1/2 c
• chopped walnuts - 1/2 c
• applesauce - 1 c
• Add eggs and mix well

How to make applesauce loaf:

Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and mix well. Add other ingredients, mix well. Fold in nuts. Turn batter into greased loaf pan. Bake in 350° oven for 60 minutes. Let cool 10 minutes in pan. Remove from pan. Drizzle with glaze.Glaze:1/2 c. powdered sugar1 Tbsp. water Mix in bowl until smooth.
