Ingredients/Components

  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 1 to
  • brown sugar
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • shortening - 1/2 c
  • raisins - 1 c
  • cloves - 1/2 tsp
  • thick applesauce - 1 c

How to make applesauce loaf:

Cream shortening, brown sugar and egg together. Add applesauce, soda, salt, cinnamon and cloves. Add flour and raisins. Pour into greased and floured loaf pan. Bake at 350° for 50 to 60 minutes or until a wooden pick tester comes out clean. Yield: One loaf.
