Jumbo raisin cookies

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 2 c
• cinnamon - 1/4 tsp
• eggs - 3 item
• vanilla - 1 tsp
• salt - 1 tsp
• flour - 4 c
• water - 1 c
• nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
• baking powder - 1 tsp
• baking soda - 1 tsp
• shortening - 1 c
• raisins - 1 c
• allspice - 1/4 tsp
• walnuts - 1 c

How to make jumbo raisin cookies:

Boil raisins in 1 cup of water for 5 minutes. Let cool. Cream together shortening and 2 cups of sugar. Add eggs, vanilla and walnuts. Stir in raisins and water.

Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice. Add to mixture. Drop by spoonfuls on greased cookie sheet and bake 15 minutes at 350°. Makes 3 or 4 dozen cookies.
