  • sugar - 2 c
  • cinnamon - 3/4 tsp
  • eggs - 2 item
  • salt
  • flour
  • water - 1/2 c
  • baking powder - 1/4 tsp
  • baking soda
  • shortening - 1/2 c
  • chopped walnuts - 1/2 c
  • raisins - 1 c
  • allspice - 1/2 tsp
  • ground cloves - 1/2 tsp
  • applesauce

How to make applesauce cake:

Mix all ingredients together. Pour into a 13 x 9-inch pan or other desired shapes. Bake at 350° until a toothpick comes out clean (about 50 minutes). Sift powdered sugar on top when cake is cool.
